And here are the questions nobody asked, but should have asked (maybe)...

I normally write in English, directly into Word. Then, as I did for "Guardians," I translate it into Spanish, keeping both versions in parallel. From then on, I revise both versions simultaneously. I feel that helps to come up with more interesting ways of telling the story.

I'm tempted to say that it happens when I bang my head against the wall to make them come out, but the truth is that they come to me precisely when I'm least looking for them, like when eating or praying. I'm sure that happens to you too.

Sure. I try to go to Catholic Mass every day, and then do a couple more times of mental prayer. It's a great practice. Try it.

No, I'm a rocket scientist. Since no one needs a rocket scientist for hardly anything anymore, I get enough free time to do some writing.

Write.

Yes it is. You can only find out if it's going to work if you sit in front of the word processor (or whatever you use; a lipstick on a brown bag will work, too, but the piece's going to be awfully short). In my case, once I started I just couldn't stop.

You won't have it if you're honest and just write what comes to mind. It's not supposed to look like Shakespeare the first time through, you know?
